Exposed: Jak Kavan

Jak Kavan has over two hundred writing projects on file and growing. His is the winner of the 2010 Fountaine Books short story prize and is published in Horrorzone, Cooldog and other magazines and e-zines. His writing may also be found under the nom de plume of Kristofer Jakobs. While Jak has a small number of other stories awaiting publication early next year, Vampyre Quest is available online now. -- Read More

Exposed: Matthew Hance

Matthew Hance usually lets his writing speak for himself, but in some cases, especially with his bizarre stories, that isn’t the greatest idea. Writing is his hobby, and he has found that it’s the easiest way to share his ideas with others. Writing is also the most intimate art form, and he knows when someone sits down to read one of his stories, it’s just the reader and his words.  --Read More

As of today Friday the 13th of April, we have exactly 22 days until the close of the TZPPs 2nd Annual Spring Writer's Contest! This is big news mainly because after Midnight on the May 5th, any submissions that we receive will be for 2013.

If you haven't started writing, or you're not sure if you want to invest the time, we'd suggest squaring your shoulders and committing yourself to winning the contest. This is a great opportunity as an exposure market, as even though only the Top 5 are guaranteed publication, TZPP likes nice thick anthologies! Ends of Man is nearly 400 pages, comprising 15 short stories and almost 125k words. That's serious business. There is lots of room, as for some reason most of this year's entries are averaging 8k words, which would mean you have around 25-30 chances of getting published.

I'd say if you haven't made up your mind to write an amazing short story, then do so now, and submit it by Midnight Pacific Standard Time (Los Angeles local) on Saturday, May 5th, 2012.

Best of Luck to All from your Spokane Publisher, The Zharmae Publishing Press.
