Michael Conant, Chief Marketing Officer
Michael has had a long tenure in marketing and sales spanning over 18 years. As a marketing and sales manager he has managed direct mail, ad sales, telesales, enterprise sales, on-line, and email for print and online products, databases and events. His operations experience includes circulation, fulfillment, customer service and database development. Michael began his career as a one-man circulation department for The America Hotel and Motel Association and has since marketed products in diverse venues including draperies and window coverings and cranio-maxilofacial trauma.
He has spent a good amount of his career as a marketer of financial products including stints with Institutional Investor and Thomson Financial, where he managed a fifty person team spanning five major departments. As Vice President of Sales for The Deal LLC, Michael was responsible for creating strategies that balanced inside sales with online, direct mail, advertising sales and other marketing efforts representing over eighty percent of total company revenue.
Michael has also spent time in the non-profit sector consulting for a non-profit music conservatory in California, launching a non-profit theater company in Florida, and as the founding President of the non-profit mitochondrial research organization, CureMito!, in Los Angeles.
