Biography

Travis has been devoted to the written form since he was a child. Born in Southern California, he moved to Seattle when he was 15 with his family. There he became enamored with the Pacific Northwest, the place he now calls home. He worked several odd jobs to include a yearlong stint with a major corporation that shall remain nameless as he still refers to it as The Devil. At Age 19 he joined the U.S. Army as a paralegal. While deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, he decided to create Zharmae, the book publisher focusing on understanding the reader and in devloping the author.

Travis enjoys reading, writing, jogging, Neiman Marcus, and caramel macchiotos, and entertains every Friday night at his house with Family and Friends.

Interests in his words, "I Like..."

I like to see a living breathing world or universe that grows with you as you read. A story that immerses you from the beginning and takes you to a place that forces you to question the protagonist's actions, that forces you to want more, or that encourages you to delve deeper...to want a deeper understanding of that world, city, or character and the problems and issues they face and how they handle them. For example, take the Dune series. Its review of politics, greed, and religion is sufficiently complex to keep the reader engaged from beginning to end.
