Anna McDermott, Concept Editor
Biography
Anna is an Inland Northwest native, attended both Washington State University and the University of Idaho, and currently lives in Eastern Washington. She is passionate about literature and a bit deconstructionist by nature, giving her a flair for editing and literary review. A writer herself, Anna cares deeply about the creative process and is fascinated by the genesis of good work. Her hobbies include every possible permutation of nerdiness, along with writing, road trips, and a myriad of unusual handicrafts. She also enjoys watching terrible movies just to pick them apart, naps, and annoying the cat.
Interests in her words, "I Like..."
I like to have my expectations challenged, and to be taken through a landscape that demonstrates ideas, philosophies, and the passions of the author as a fundamental aspect of the creation. I am a student of nuance, and am always looking to reach through the pages of what I am reading, whatever the genre, and pull forth unintended secrets from the recesses of the author's heart and soul. I like a story that breathes in its own right, and speaks for itself, that puts a colored lens in front of your eyes to shade the whole world even when the words themselves have been laid aside.
