Leigh Farina, Reader
Biography Born in Illinois, with a love for Fighting Illini football, the Cubs, and even a little for the Bears, Leigh learned at a young age that words had power in them, a power that could transport you to whole new places and times and make you rethink your outlook on the world. Her love of reading grew as the years passed, as did her love for sports. Upon her graduation from the University of Illinois, she worked many odd jobs, never really settling on one over the other - the one constant was always the written word. Leigh enjoys reading (especially finding new and fantastic authors), and working on her “great American” novel (as her mother calls it), as well as spending time with her family and her obnoxious, but loveable, dog Rex. Interests in her words, “I Like…” I like to be so immersed in a novel that I lose track of time, and when I look up from the page finally I realize I have read the whole day away. To be immersed in a great story, one that has all of the aspects that draw you in from start to finish, one that pushes you to the limit of what you believe and yet still has the ability to enfold you in a whirlwind ride and transport you to someplace deep in your imagination, is the best feeling in the world. |
