Yanni Davros
The first thing Y anni remembers drawing when he was old enough to hold a pencil were the fighter jets that flew over his first h ome in Washington DC. Science, technology, and the natural world have always been his inspirational sources. His interest in art has remained strong throughout his lifetime thanks to uncommonly open-minded parents and a household full of illustrated literature.
He recently was able to quit his part time jobs and go into business for himself as a freelance artist; he can’t imagine himself doing anything else for a living. Yanni has been able to thrive in this capacity due to his travels, education, determination, and boundless imagination, even when circumstances have proven difficult.
He received a B.F.A. in Sequential Art from The Savannah College of Art and Design. His earlier interests were animation and traditional oil painting. Although he did not pursue either of those two disciplines, he attributes most of his foundational knowledge to his time and studies in those areas. This is particularly true with regards to the elements of design and the treatment of light, color, anatomy, and perspective. Yanni hopes that you enjoy his creations and that you will continue to follow his future art endeavors.
Above you can see the cover of the anthology "Ends of Man" that Yanni created for TZPP. This is to date one of his most involved projects, and we look forward to working with Yanni in the future.
A short portfolio of Yanni's work appears below, his artwork is incredible and will be sure to fascinate you. To see more of Yanni's amazing work visit his webpage at www.yannidavrosart.com.
